Club History
The Fairfield Cricket Club was formed in the 1920s. Formerly known as Fairfield Methodists, the club played in the now defunct Northcote and Preston Churches Cricket Association. In the 1990/91 season, Fairfield joined the JIKA Cricket Association which is now referred to as the North Metro Cricket Association (NMCA).
Located on Yarra Bend Road in Fairfield, Fairfield Park is where we call home. The Fairfield Cricket Club is in an extremely predominant position as their ground is used as a thoroughfare for the numerous people visiting the Fairfield Boat House, Fairfield Amphitheatre and the Yarra Bend Golf Course all year round.
Our club has access to premium sporting facilities including modern and versatile clubrooms, three cricket nets and a brand new resurfaced cricket ground and synthetic pitch. We were given the opportunity to host our competitions top level grand finals over the past two seasons so we are very proud of our ground as it's one of the best grounds in our competition.
Over the years Fairfield Cricket Club has always been extremely successful with 26 premierships and several other accolades. We are currently fielding two senior men's and one women's team with the aim of establishing a strong junior boys/girls program - we are always on the lookout for any new players.
If you would like to know more about the Fairfield Cricket Club or are interested in joining our club, we would love to hear from you.
